Shimier Leslie

Shimier Leslie was born on October 27, 1970 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Mary Frances and Luther Leslie.

   On February 11, 2026, while surrounded by her loving family she departed her earthly life and transitioned into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 

   Shimier was educated in the Jersey City and also in the South Carolina public school system, and graduated from Henry Snyder High School in Jersey City, NJ. 

   Even though lupus said no the God in her said yes. “I am your strength” The fight, the walk,the calmness and peace in Shimier followed her all the days of her life. Through it all she never complained, humbleness was who she was a true warrior for Christ. praising her savior all the way till the end. She was a good and faithful member of Corinthians Baptist Church of Jersey City, NJ

   Shimier and her only son, Roland Lamar Leslie, had a unique million and one, Bonnie and Clyde unmeasurable, Hand in Hand, lovely mother and son bond. She poured her heart into loving guiding and protecting him every step of the way. Though her physical presence is gone, her love will forever surround him. In every lesson she taught, every hug she gave, and every prayer she whispered over his life. 

   She had an amazing love for her siblings. With enough strength and love to boss them around. “Oh Yes!!” She had an assignment for each one of them. Together, they share countless moments, inside jokes and traditions that will forever be treasured.

   Shimier’s favorite meal was turkey, wings, cabbage, and mac & cheese. She enjoyed going to her adult daycare center where she encountered many friends, trips to the movies and the mall and shopping. 

   She cherished every moment she spent with her family members and found her greatest joy and being surrounded by them. Her love knew no limits.

  Shimier was preceded  in death by her parents, Mary Frances and Luther Leslie,3 sisters, Louise Leslie, Lynette Leslie and Annie Mae Leslie. 2 brothers James and Tony Leslie, sister -in-law Renee Leslie, nephew Isaiah Masse,Niece Dawanda Leslie 

She leaves to cherish her loving memories with her son, Roland Lamar Leslie of Jersey City, NJ. Her three brothers, Daniel Leslie of Highpoint NC, Lynn Leslie of Bridgeport PA, Willard Cooper of Columbia SC. Two sisters, Cora Fayton of Jersey City NJ and Nekia Masse of Irvington NJ. Two brothers in law, Stanley Fayton and Richard Masse and two sisters in law, Marcella Leslie and Sandra Cooper. Three Godchildren, Tanisha Grear, Reginald Masse & Deborah Masse. Aunt Yvonne Bethea,Mildred Williams and a host of loving nieces,nephews, cousins,friends,Corinthians Baptist Church
